Penny Tile On Bathroom Floor
bobbie, i didn't say I didn't like that tile in that first pic, I said the tile layout ruined it. those vertical runs of the tile on the back wall are unnecessary. I'm very picky on how I lay out tile, so that would have never passed muster for me. and yes, the WZ are gorgeous! Floor and Decor has some knock offs in porcelain that look rather similar!
Brittany,,,you shower looks nice. some installers don't stagger the edges or line them up carefully and end up w/grids or obvious 'squares' )
And Bobbie, as for the wood tile itself, I don't mind it IF it's quality. remember, you're going to have this tile in your shower for a long time. (I assume). I just think if that's the look you want, then make sure you get quality looking wood look tiles. What I said was, I didn't think the wood look tile you've chosen would look good in the shower. If you're on a budget, then cut corners elsewhere or save up for the extra money needed to get something better. Again, you'll be looking at this for a long time. scrimp somewhere else, not on the tile quality.
Like this. this does not look good. The tile on the wall would have been ok, but the pebble floor and the other wood look tile on the outside is just way too much. and the yellow pine wood on the wall just throws this one over the edge. If you took a poll on here I'd doubt you'd get more than 2 people that liked this.

Something like this, with the lighter gray planks, would look nice w/any of the penny combos.
something else to consider w/cheaper planks, they have a tendency to bow. you will need to buy more to make up for the ones you might not be able to use. your tile setter will have to have a perfectly plumb/flat wall or else you will get lippage with these tiles. they should by set with a 90% minimum thinset adhesion and at no more the 1/3 offset. I don't know who is laying your tiles, but if you want these, then do your homework on how they're to be set. otherwise you'll be back here with, "why do my shower walls look so bad?"
